"Green, Edward Marshall, age 77, of Maryville died at 4:45 AM, Tuesday, December 26, 2000 at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. He was a member of First Christian Church of Maryville. He was in the Merchant Marines serving in World War II. He retired from ALCOA and was a member of their 25 year club. Preceded in death by: parents, Isaac and Carrie Green; brothers, Lanty V. Green and Robert P. Green. Survivors include: wife, Mildred Weaver Green; sisters, Mrs. Gwendolyn Smith and Marjorie Blair, both of Maryville; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Green and Andree Green; nephews, Dennis and wife Josie Smith of Florida, Dallas Green of Pennsylvania, and Gary Green of Ohio; nieces, Dianne Renniger of Maryville and Debra Cronin of Georgia; special friend, Judy Knight. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 28, 2000 at Grandview Cemetery Chapel with Minister Harold Ray officiating. Friends may call at their convenience after 12:00 noon, Wednesday, December 27, 2000 at Smith Mortuary, Maryville."
