Ida was united in marriage 05 Jan 1887 in Wichita, Sedwick County, Kansas with John C. Clester; son of William and Ellen (Gibson) Clester. John was a widower with four small children: Sarah "Ellen" D., Mary Amanda "Dilla", James "Jim", and Ida Jane.
Ida and John added two more children to the family:
Jesse Pebble "Peb" born Jan 1887 married Cora Lu "Della" Pierce
Arthur William born 03 Feb 1892 married Emma Anna Allison
John passed away 01 Sep 1909 at their home in Peck, Sumner County, Kansas at 69 years. He was laid to rest in Porter Cemetery, London Twp., Sumner, Kansas. (The death date on his headstone is incorrect).
Ida remarried 16 May 1913 to Henry Nicholas "Nick" Kolb. Family story has it that Nick married the well off widow and gradually sold off the Clester property and drained the assets and disappeared.
Ida passed away in 1926 at the age of 65 years and was laid to rest in the Porter Cemetery, London Twp., Sumner County, Kansas. Her grave is located on the other side of the cemetery from the Clesters.
*Ida's sister, Dora Morse DeBow, is also buried in this cemetery. She died in 1904 at the home of Ida and John Clester.
