Larry was born on June 15, 1952, and raised in Oakland, California. HE attended St. Elizabeth Catholic School. After graduating high school, he enrolled in Humboldt State University, graduating with a B.S. in biology.
From early on, Larry was an animal lover. He had birds, snakes, turtles, other reptiles, as well as dogs, cats, and small mammals as pets. He enjoyed watching birds and used them as subjects of his paintings.
Later in life, Larry became a science teacher at Petaluma Junior High, a position he relished. He loved telling stories about his students to family and friends.
During college, Larry was a rugby player. He continued playing well into his 30's and enjoyed socializing with his fellow players.
Larry loved traveling and learning about the culture in other lands. His travels tok him to Central America as well as other exotic places. He has a passion for the outdoors and outdoor activities. A trip to Alaska with his brother Chris was a cherished memory.
Music was another of Larry's passions. He played guitar and some wood instruments. He would often accompany his mother as she played the piano and sang.
Larry will be remembered for his sense of humor, storytelling, and loyalty to his family and friends. He will be missed.
