Mary Jane Moran, 79, Rushville, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2000, at Rush Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

Born Oct. 17, 1920, in Rushville, she was the daughter of Joseph M. and Myrtha E. (Barnes) Moran.

She had worked at the United States Army Finance & Accounting Center at Ft. Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis where she retired from May 31, 1983. Before that, she had worked at International Furniture, Vakoc Motors, and Baugh Chemical.

She attended St. Mary Grade School and graduated from Rushville High in 1938. Sh attended Marian College in Indianapolis.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, St. Mary Sodality, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, Rush County Democratic Party. She was Women's Club Woman of the Year in 1997.

Survivors include two sisters, Peggy (Mrs. George) Siefert of Milroy and Sister Carmita (JoAnn) Moran of Oldenburg; three brothers, John D. Moran and David P. Moran, both of Rushville, and William F. Moran of Glenwood; eight nieces; five nephews; nine great-nieces; and eight great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Pat; and two sisters, Helen and Ellenora.

Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Rushville, the Rev. Roger Rudolf officiating.

Burial is in Calvary Cemetery in Rushville.

Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville, with Rosary service at 8 p.m.
