LaRue N. Perryman, 98, died of natural causes on August 25, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Manson Newton and Ora Foster Newton, and by her sisters, Bonnie Ammons, Josephine Terrell and Marie Cates. She is survived by; daughter, Patricia Vermillion, granddaughter, Alissa Vermillion and nieces and nephews, Lyndon Terrell, Cholly Weise, James Terrell, JoNora Mallory, Judy Gaines, Janet Mathis, and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

LaRue graduated from Tyler Junior College and then worked as a legal secretary and as an executive secretary for Texaco. After her retirement from Texaco, she was able to enjoy travel both abroad and in the United States. However, she always loved home, family and friends best.

A memorial service will be held at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook RD., Raleigh NC 27609, on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 6:00 PM. A reception will be held immediately following the service.

In Lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Transitions Hospice of Wake County.
