Dr. William Staab Jr., age 61, of 1505 14th Ave., died Tuesday April 17, 1990, at St. Clare Hospital. He was born July 23, 1928, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of William Staab Sr. and Lucy (Stack) Staab. He attended John Carroll University, Cleveland, OH, for three years, before being accepted into medical school. He graduated from St. Louis University, St. Louis, MO in 1953. He married Eleanor Botz June 20, 1953, in St. Cloud Minnesota. He served in the U.S. Air Force for two years, stationed at the Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. He then interned in Cleveland, OH. He began his medical practice in November of 1959 at the Monroe Clinic in the Internal Medicine Department and Practiced for 30 years. He was a member of St. Vitor's.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor, and 9 children: Edward of San Jose, CA, Charles of Platteville, Fr. Gregory, O.M.V. of Boston, MA, Mrs. Catherine (Alvin) Lavoie of Warminster, PA, Theresa M.J. and Jennifer M.J., both of Chicago, Sr. Arcangela, O.M.V.F. (Anne) of Italy, Mary Jane of Madison and John at home attending UW-Platteville; 1 granddaughter, Danielle Lavoie; and 2 brothers, James of Suffern, NY, and John of Maumee, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents.
