Charles G. Crowell, 82, of Trafford and Slippery Rock, passed away Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016. Chuck was born Aug. 5, 1934, in Pitcairn, the son of the late Ray I. and Alma (Devinney) Crowell. Chuck was a veteran of the Navy during the Korean War. He was a retired teacher with the Mt. Lebanon School District for 37 years at the Howe Elementary School. He loved spending his summers at his home in Slippery Rock. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Ray Crowell (Dorothy), Sudie Pennebaker, Bill Crowell and Janet Shaffer; and a niece and nephew, Ronald R. Crowell and Sudie Shaffer. He is survived by his sister, Emma Lou Morocco (Vince), of Trafford; his nieces and nephews, Ray A. Crowell, David W. Crowell, Janet L. (Crowell) Chernicky (Brett), James and Ray Pennebaker, Dr. Mark Morocco (Lisa) and Rachel (Morocco) Specht (Bob); great-nephews, Bobby and Will Specht and Anthony Chernicky; and life time friend, Patricia A. Croke.
