Druzilla Decker was born in Virginia, October 5, 1810 died September 23, 1904, aged 93 years, 11 months and 18 days. She was married in the year 1831, to Louis Burlin Butler. To this union was born nine children, six sons and three daughters, one son dying in infancy.
There remains to mourn her departure eight children, one brother, one sister, forty-seven grandchildren, ninety-two great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Butler came to Knox County, Ohio with her parents in the year 1811, and removed to Putnam County in the spring of 1855.
She was converted in her early youth in the Christian Church and united with that church. In the year 1857, she united with the U.B. Church in Ottawa and remained a member until J.J. Nonamaker organized the Bethel Class in the year 1880, then she united with the Evangelical association.
Sister Butler was an earnst Christian mother, she being dead yet her works do follow her.
The funeral services were conducted at the Bethel Church by Rev. J.F. Atkinson and Rev. H. Gamertsfelder, after which her remains were taken to the Center cemetery for interment.
