Connie was born on January 20, 1933 in Cliffside Park, NJ, daughter of the late Vincenzo and Filomena (Chiasa) Maione. She was Roman Catholic by faith and was a waitress at Mark’s Brothers Restaurant in Mansfield, PA until her retirement in 1995. Connie enjoyed gardening, spending time at the ocean, dancing, and cooking. She had a sharp wit and enjoyed watching wildlife from her mountain top home.
Connie is survived by her children: Frank R. (Elizabeth) Salatino of Lawrenceville, PA, Doreen (Brian) Weidner of Stafford, VA, Francis V. (Teresa) Salatino of Gillett, PA, and Tami Bernheisel of North Carolina, step children: Linda (Tom) Manley of Gillett, PA, Jan Van Gorden of Horseheads, NY, and Mary (Don) Gorst of Elmira, NY, 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and sister Carmella Miller of New Jersey.
The graveside service to honor Connie’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 2, 2016 at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Route 14, Troy, PA. All family and friends are welcome to attend.
