Ross G. Carle of West Chester, Pa

Ross G. Carle, 81, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2016 after a life well-lived. He was the loving and devoted husband of Martha Kinney Carle since 1956.

In addition to his wife Martha, he is survived by his three children, Jennifer Carle, Rex (Lisa) Carle, and Bradley (Judith) Carle, three grandchildren, Andrew, Eric and Delaney, sister Mary Jane Conrad, and brothers Doug (Muriel), John (Louise) and David (Maggie).

He was preceded in death by his sister Margaret and his brother James.

Born in Boardman, OH he was the oldest boy of seven siblings. He attended the Ohio State University, and was a proud member of their marching band. He graduated with a BS in Civil Engineering and became a Professional Engineer. Ross, who holds many patents, served the railroad industry most of his professional career, as well as representing several fabrication shops in Chester County.

Ross was an active, involved grandfather. He also loved dogs of all kinds, baseball, racing sailboats, chopping firewood, doing fine woodworking and flying electric RC planes.

Whether in the church choir, at a Phillies game, at birthday parties, or even at the little league field in Houston where his children played baseball, his golden tenor voice resonated and always delighted the crowd. This talent was shared with his daughter Jennifer, and they sang side by side with the 1st Presbyterian Church in West Chester, and other local choirs.
