Funeral services for Poley Jones, Jr., 64 Rt. 1, Star City, were held Tuesday in the Fisher Funeral Chapel, Logansport. He died at 6:10 a.m. Sunday in Pulaski Memorial Hospital. Born Nov. 14, 1921 in Silver Point, Tenn., he was the son of Poley, Sr. and Mary Maxwell Jones. He married Fannie Driver in June of 1941, who survives. He was employed as a carpenter and was a member of the first Baptist Church, Winamac. Surviving with the wife are: two sons, Zinney and Don, both of Star City, four brothers, Orville, Lucerne, Vinson, State of Washington, Fred, Macminnville, Tenn., and Reuben, Logansport; two sisters, Irene Williams, Cookville, Tenn., and Beatrice Huddleston, State of California; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Rev. Larsene Hall officiated at the services and burial was in the McKinley Memorial Gardens, Winamac.
