Mrs. Elizabeth Anne (Rife) Koons, 83, of Rural Route 4, Fostoria, died in Fostoria City Hospital at 2:15 a.m. today, April 24, 1954, after having been bedfast for five months. Death was attributed to complications.

Mrs. Koons, a charter member of the Confirmed in Luther church in Luckey, was born in that community, Oct. 1, 1870 to John and Martha (Caris) Rife and was married in Bowling Green, Aug. 31, 1891.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Grace Doll of rural Fostoria and Mrs. Ada Herter of rural Bucyrus; three sisters, Mrs. Julia Geisbuhler of Woodville, Mrs. Cora Weddell and Mrs. Eva Hagemeyer, both of Luckey; one brother, Adam Rife of Luckey; two grandchildren, Floyd Doll and Dale Herter; and four great-grandchildren, Patricia Ann and James Edward Doll and Barrydale and Diane Elizabeth Herter.

Funeral services will be held in the Harrold funeral home in Fostoria, at 3:30 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Edward Griswald officiating. Burial will be in the cemetery at Luckey.
