Mr. Gearhart was born Feb. 16, 1941, in Clearfield, a son of the late Robert and Betty (Pifer) Mohney.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marcy (Pearce) Gearhart of Florida.
Clyde was a member of the Pleasant Grove Church.
He was a Deputy Wildlife Conservation Officer for 23 years, PA State Constable for 30 years, PSCA Region III Director and was on numerous committees, including the By-Laws & Grievance Membership and Financial Overview. He was an annual participant in the Punxsutawney "Jail-A-Thon," which was a fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Reynoldsville. His hobbies were hunting and fishing, and in his younger years, he raced stock cars at local race tracks. Skeets was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
In addition to his wife, Marcy, he is survived by his five sons, Robert Gearhart and wife Michelle of DuBois, Jerry Pearce and wife Ola of DuBois, Carl Ackerson and wife Mary of Punxsutawney, Patrick Ackerson of Indiana, Michael Ackerson and wife Betsy of Punxsutawney; three daughters, Donna Campagnola and husband Rod of Punxsutawney, Nancy Sheldon and husband Jay of Virginia and Brenda of Reynoldsville; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Gearhart.
