Emma Lee Ardis Cauley, 84, of Brookstone Retirement Center, formerly of Hoover Drive, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006, at the retirement center.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel by the Rev. Brian Alexander. Burial will follow in Center Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Cauley was born in Paxville, S.C., May 30, 1921, to William Clarence Ardis and Beulah Beatrice Ardis.

She was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church and a retired employee of Dixie Furniture.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James William Cauley, on April 5, 2003; a brother, William "Sam" Ardis Jr.; and a sister, Mary Ethel Ardis.

Surviving are one daughter, Yvonne Venable of Lexington; one brother, H. Hazel Ardis Sr. of Sumter, S.C.; and one sister, Beulah Mae Ardis of Sumter, S.C.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the service at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
