Born March 20, 1920 in Hollywood, MD she was the daughter of the late Ernest McClellan and Mary Lena Gatton Joy. He was preceded in death by her husband Merlyn Rupert Crichfield whom she married on August 5, 1940 in Leonardtown, MD. She is survived by her siblings: Juanita Buchanan, Joyce Remmel, Elwood Joy, Marvin M. Joy and Arnold Joy all of Hollywood, MD. She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Eunice Gatton, Herbert W. Joy and Marion Joy. Ms. Crichfield attended Great Mills High School. She was a member of the order of Eastern Star and The Methodist Church.
