William R. Nolte, 75, of Luray, Mo., formerly of Peoria, died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1999, at his residence.

Born March 26, 1924, in Peoria to William R. and Martha Elizabeth Ball Nolte, he married Grace Gauwitz on Oct. 20, 1946, in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Glen (Marilyn) Wiley and Mrs. James (Darlene) Horter; and two sisters, Mrs. Edward (Martha) Acherman and Mrs. Kelley (Eleanor) Koertge.

He was a World War II Navy veteran.

He worked in construction in Peoria until 1962. He later farmed in Luray.

Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Cantril, Iowa.
