She married Melvin "Bud" Arthur Monell on July 21st 1951 at the St. Anthony's Church in Burlington, Vermont. He predeceased her on August 9th 2015.
She worked for General Electric for many years.

Doris was predeceased by her parents, her husband; Melvin "Bud" Monell, one daughter; Nancy, and one son-in-law; Mike.
