W. A. Conrad, whose marriage to Miss Annabel Boyer some years ago caused no little comment about Connersville and this place, took his own life Saturday evening by swallowing carbolic acid. Through causes of his own, it is said, his domestic life has not been as smooth as one could wish for,and this it appears was the reason of his rash act. He recently came here from Cincinnati, where he had steady work, and sought to have his wife move here, but she preferred to stay with her parents and thus the unfortunate man felt probably that he had little if anything to live for. He swallowed the poison while in front of Hunt's grocery and quickly dropped to the sidewalk, from whence he was picked up and taken to Dr. Boyd's Office, but he was dead before reaching there. His body was taken to Wright & Son's parlors where the coroner held an examination and from there the burial took place Tuesday afternoon, following services by Rev. McCormick. Interment in Riverside under charge of the Loyal Order of Moose. He was 25 years old and was a native of Cincinnati, where his mother and other relatives live. Besides his wife he left an infant son who have the sympathy of many friends in the unfortunate affliction.
