Dorothy P. "Dot" Sterner, 86, of Orwigsburg, passed away peacefully Thursday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown, with her loving family at her side.
Born in Adamsdale, Jan. 12, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Oliver and Eva Trout Seltzer. She was also preceded by a brother, Earl Seltzer.
She was the widow of Clarence F. Sterner.
A graduate of Orwigsburg High School, she was employed at Kepner-Scott Shoe Co. for many years.
Dot was a faithful member of Kimmels Church, Orwigsburg.
Dot is survived by three daughters, Sandra L., widow of William W. Berk, Old Zionsville, Karen A., wife of Larry T. Conley, Green Valley, Ariz., and Brenda J., wife of Jim Ebling, Orwigsburg; a sister, Olive, widow of Lester Hoy, Orwigsburg; grandchildren, Kelly Berk, Laura Kolesar, wife of John, Katie Wanser, wife of Lenny, Matthew Ebling, husband of Lauren, and Julie Ebling; two great-grandchildren, Hannah Berk and Aiden Kolesar.
Dot was looking forward to her third great-grandchild.
A Celebration of Dorothy's Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the original Kimmels Church on the hill, Orwigsburg, with the Rev. Preston Broadhurst officiating. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Interment will follow at Kimmels Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dorothy's name may be made to Child Evangelism Fellowship, 711 Deep Creek Road, Hegins, PA 17938. Hamilton-Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Orwigsburg, is honored to be serving the family.
