Lydia Cannito, 91, of Manchester, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Friday August 26, 2016. She was surrounded by her family who loved her dearly. Lydia was born in Jersey City in 1924, she resided in West New York prior to moving to Leisure Knoll in Manchester in 1986.

Lydia was a loving wife, Goldstar mother and grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband, John Cannito and beloved son Dennis Cannito, who was killed in action in Vietnam. Lydia is survived by her sons, Thomas and Jerry, her daughters Linda Licht, Lorraine Brugnoli and Debbie-Michelle Buch, and her six grandchildren; Laura Cannito, Michael Cannito, Chris Cannito, Marco Brugnoli, Tamara and Allegra Buch. Lydia took great pride in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren and she will always be remembered for her honey balls and Christmas cookies.

Family will receive friends on Monday August 29, 2016 from 4-9 pm at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, NJ 08759. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday August 30, 2016 at 10 am at the funeral home, please be at the funeral at 9 am. Interment to follow at the Brig. Gem. WC Doyle Veteran Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown, NJ.
