Bertha Ola Anson was born at Springfield, Nebr., on October 18, 1894 and died at the home of her uncle, J. H. White near Neligh on November 5, 1918 and was buried in the Neligh cemetery on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 6th. She leaves to mourn her loss Father, mother, four sisters and three brothers besides other relatives and hosts of friends. Bertha was at her aunt's for a few days helping her, where she, with other members of the family were taken ill with the Influenza. She quickly developed pneumonia. Her father, mother and sister were with her and everything that loving hands could do was done to save her. But it was not to be, and at two o'clock of the morning of Nov. 5th God took her home to him, there to a wait [sic] the coming of the dear ones she left behind. Bertha was a fond and loving daughter and kind an faithful friend, always happy and cheerful ready to do her bit whenever or wherever needed, and her place in this community will never be filled. To the heart broken parents and other loved ones, we offer our sincerest sympathy. May God console them in the hour of trial.
