During his working career Ronald worked as a mechanic and in construction as a heavy equipment operator for various employers when he was younger. He worked for the Union County Secondary Roads Department since1976 retiring in 1999 after 25 years.
He was a member of the Operating Engineer's Union Local #234 and served as Union Steward for 15 years. He was also a member of the Lorimor City Council and was recently appointed mayor protem.
Ron is survived by his wife, Ruby of Lorimor; daughter, Renea Cornelison and her husband, Tim Beaty of Prescott; son, Randy Cornelison and his wife, Lisa of Adel; four grandchildren, Shane and Travis Beaty and Douglas and Michael Cornelison; two great grandchildren, Cyprin and Gydeon Slight; two step grandchildren, Tyler and Kara Buckner; a brother, Lyle Cornelison and his wife, Myrna of Hagerman, ID and a brother-in-law, George Kelly of Las Vegas, NV. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Kimberly Kelly.
