Early Life: Joe was born May 25, 1934, in Heber City, Utah, to Van LeRoy Bond and Ida May Lee Bond. He grew up in Heber City and graduated from Wasatch High School where he excelled in basketball.
Life's Work | ServiceI | nterests: On June 8, 1955, Joe married Joyce Erekson in the Manti Utah Temple. He received both a bachelor's degree and master's degree from Brigham Young University. He taught industrial arts at American Fork Junior High School and drafting at Pleasant Grove High School. He served faithfully as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in various callings and touched many lives. He loved to work in his shop and built everything from doll furniture to a house. Joe W. Bond passed away August 23, 2016, in American Fork, Utah, at the age of 82.
Survived By: His wife, Joyce; children: Scott (Karen) Bond and Lisa (Dennis) Riley; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and sister, Betty Brode.
Preceded In Death By: His parents; a daughter, Janet Brooks; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Bond; and siblings: Max, Lois and Raymond.
