Michael Trotchie was born February 5, 1934 in Havre, MT to John and Sarah (Allery) Trotchie. He was raised in Great Falls, and joined the Army at 17.
After faithfully serving our country in Korea, Michael was honorably discharged. He began working as a laborer for several years before joining the Ironworkers Union in 1973. Under the union, he worked on many projects, the highlight of his career was his involvement on the Alaskan Pipeline. He retired from the Ironworkers in 1983.
Michael was married to Minerva Gonzales in 1959 in Great Falls. They divorced in 1973. In 1974, Michael married Eleanor Ramos in Alberta, CA. They remained together until Eleanor's passing in 2003.
In his leisure time, Michael enjoyed working on cars and cooking for his family.
He is survived by his family - two daughters, three sons, a sister, two brothers, twenty-three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Trotchie; parents, John and Sarah Trotchie; son, Gary Trotchie; daughter, Grace Lopez; brothers, Raymond Trotchie, Jack Trotchie; and sister Lorraine Mee.
