Passed away from injuries sustained in an automobile-truck accident on State Highway 35 south of Creston, 5 miles south of Bigfork.
Leta was with her mother-in-law and six children on their way to go swimming at Echo Lake when her truck was struck by a car as she was making a left turn from the highway. Five of her children were in the bed of the truck, with her youngest and her mother-in-law in the cab with her.
She was pregnant with her seventh child at the time of her death.
