Cora Agnes Alford, 77, a resident of Modesto for 16 years, died last night [July 21] in a local hospital following an extended illness.
A native of Tennessee, she was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church of Salida.
She leaves five children, Allie Kent of Modesto, Ethel Schlenker of Sacramento, Robert W. Wilson, William B. Wilson, and James H. Wilson of Texas, 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Thursday in the Shannon chapel.... Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.
