Callie L. Hart, 81, died at 10:50p.m. Saturday at the home of her son, Ed. Hart, one and a half miles south of Agency. She had been in poor health several years. She was born in Davis county August 17, 1871, the daughter of Martin and Adaline Minnick. She had spent her life in Davis and Wapello Counties. At an early age, she united with the Floris Christian Church. In 1887 she married Joe Hart, who preceded her in death. Two daughters, a brother and three sisters also preceded her in death. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Addie Smith and Mrs. Bertha Gilman, both of Ottumwa; four sons, Ed Hart of Agency, Earl Hart of Highland Center, Pearl Hart of Eldon, and Dess Hart of Bureau, Ill; 28 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Charles Hart of Eldon. Funeral services will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home in Eldon at 2p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. W.B. Friend of Ottumwa will be in charge. Burial will be in Eldon Cemetery.
