Judson Cornelia Cobb Phillips Cagle passed away April 1, 2015, at the WhiteStone Masonic and Eastern Star Home in Greensboro one month shy of her 96th birthday. She was born in Yanceyville, North Carolina on May 8, 1919, to Felix Lindsey and Mary "Medja" Lunsford Cobb. She married Marshall "Calvin" Phillips on Christmas Eve 1937. They were married for 54 years before Calvin passed away. Although they never had children, they dearly loved their many nieces and nephews as if they were their own. She was blessed to have found and married another wonderful man, Arnold Daniel Cagle Sr., in August 1994. Judson and Arnold were married 2 years before Arnold passed away. Through him she gained a son and daughter-in-law, Arnold Daniel (Dan) Jr. and Linda Cagle, as well as grandchildren Chris (Maria) Cagle and Cathy (Rick) Harris. Judson often said that if she had been able to have a son, she could not have had one better than Dan. She was predeceased by her brothers Wesley, Wineford, and Felix Lunsford (F.L.) Cobb and her sister Ruby Willis. In addition to Dan and his family, she is survived by many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, and her sister-in-law, Betty Phillips.

Judson was educated in the Caswell County school system and worked for many years at Long's Finishing Mill. Her greater passion was being a wife and homemaker. She was a tremendous cook and a very giving person; one never left from visiting her with their hands empty.

Visitation will be Sunday night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at McClure Funeral Home in Graham with graveside services on Monday at noon at Alamance Memorial Park with the Rev. Tommy Jones presiding. A Memorial Service will be held at the WhiteStone Masonic and Eastern Star Home Chapel at 2 p.m. Monday following the graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, the family has recommended memorials be made to a worthy organization of one's choice.
