Irvin F. Eller, age 97, of Eaton, OH passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the Vancrest Nursing Center in Eaton. He was born June 26, 1919 in Gratis Township to the late William E. and Mary Jane (Fisher) Eller. Irvin was a longtime member of the Eaton Church of the Brethren, where he served as Deacon for many years. He was also a Preble County farmer for many years.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Mildred G. Eller, who passed away in 2015; son Dwain Eller; brother Joseph Eller; and brother-in-law Paul Crooks.
He is survived by his daughter Jean (Greg) Arnott of Powell, OH; son Mark (Kim) Eller of Piqua, OH; daughter-in-law Ellen Eller of Marianna, FL; grandchildren Carrie (Colby) Clayton, Daniel (Whitney) Eller, Matt (Yena) Arnott, Beth (A.J.) McCampbell, Grace (Salem) Nganga, Dakoda Eller, Christopher Eller, Abigail Eller and Serafine Eller; great grandson Nolan Eller; sister Ruth Crooks; sister-in-law Janice Eller; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 10:30 am until time of funeral services at 11:30 am at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor Stan VanAusdal officiating. Burial follow at Fairview Cemetery, Gratis, OH.
