The last remains of Mrs. H. C. Arendt were interred in the Albany Cenetery Friday evening, April, 291904.Rev. Hyser conducted the funeral services at the grave, and delivered a very impressive funeral service at the grave, and delivered a very impressive funeral oration. There was a large concourse of relatives and friends gathered at the grave to pay their last respects to the lamented dead. Mrs. Arendt was a noble christian woman, a devoted wife and a loving mother. none knew her but to love her. It is always a sad event when friends pass out, and sadder still when relatives are c alled away--but the saddest death of all is when a mother dies. Whe it is decreed that a mother shall don the shroud of death, it seems to us that the death angel must indeed be sad. Sometimes we believe that death is a cruel thing, especially when it robs a happy home of wife and mother, yes, when it wraps its dark mantle around the home by stealing mother, and it seems like the sunshine of happiness has forever gone out, we are tempted to say that death is cruel. But the Books says God is love, and the king of heaven can do no wrong, therefore we must bow our heads in sorrow over the fraves of our loved ones, and say, Thy will be done. The life and influence of a mother is like a beautiful flower, it springs up, buds and blossoms, the tree tops nod to its beauty, the ivy and the grasses entine themselves around it, drown by its beauty; akk nature does it homage, and the honey bee comes and sips the nectar from its dewy petals--but with all its beauty and fragrance, it must wither and die. So it is in the lives of men.

We extend to the beteaved family our sympathy in their troubles. and may the dark mantel of sorrow be lifted from their hearts, and may they ever cherish the memory of, and emulate the life of the sainted wife and mother.
