She grew up in Albany Texas where she met her best friend for life, H.C. Arendt. During WW 11, June worked as a riveter at Shepherd Air Force Base. June was know to family and friends as; Granny, Aunt June, Miss June and June Bug. She retired from the County Extension Service in Stephenville after 20 years as secretary. June loved people and loved serving them in her church, community and neighborhood. She also loved serving in the Beta Sigma Phi and PEO organizations for many years. One of her lasting legacies will be all her many paintings as she was a very talented artist. She also enjoyed decorating her church for special holidays for many years.

What brought her great joy was cooking delicious meals for family and friends and she always had some type of cookies cooked for anyone who just dropped by. But after becoming "Granny," she loved taking care of and spending time with all the grandchildren.
