James Albert Scroggins, age 77 of Milan, went to be with the Lord on August 18, 2016. He was a dedicated loving father, and a trusted friend to all who knew him and his service to others. He had worked as a brick mason and contractor over 55 years. He was also an ordained minister of the Baptist faith, where he led countless souls to the Lord.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Sunday, August 21, 2016 at the Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Milan.

Wife - Norma Dean Scroggins
Daughter - Charlotte Scroggins of Chattanooga, TN
Step Son - Sammy Cole of Milan
Step Daughter - Nancy Hampton of Milan
Sisters - Martha Barnett of Bradford, Anglian Bradford of Milan, Gertrude Hill of Atwood, Eva Corbin of Humboldt, and Lunell Corbin of Humboldt
He also had several step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. James T and Bertha Scroggins, sister, Allie Mae Fouch, brother, Charles Scroggins, wife, JoAnn Scroggins, sons, Gary Dewayne Scroggins and James Christopher Scroggins.
