Janice D. Johnson

Janice D. Johnson of Price, UT passed away peacefully in Price, UT on August 13, 2016 at the age of 78. Mom was born on August 29, 1937 in Price, UT to Andy and Chloe Jensen Moore. Mom married our Dad, John Merrill Johnson, in Cheyenne, WY. Later sealed in LDS Temple in Manti, UT. As a family they moved to Hanksville, UT.

Mom was raised in Green River, UT and was one of the most talented women we know. She was proficient in piano, accordion, singing and dance. No one could jitterbug like Mom. She was also very talented in gardening, cooking and needlework.

Mom was very active in the LDS faith and had numerous positions. She loved to camp, hunt, fish and even won the Big Buck Contest in Hanksville.

She is survived by her children: Dale William Johnson, Mike T. Johnson, John M. Johnson Jr., Kyle P. Johnson and Vicki (Tom) Glaze; 23 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by: parents, brothers, grandchildren Cody Johnson, Ben Johnson, Corey Johnson and Micaela Johnson.

A memorial service and viewing will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Fausett Mortuary, Price, UT from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Interment and grave dedication will be Wednesday, August 17, 2016 in Elgin Cemetery, Green River, UT at 11:00 AM entrusted to Fausett Mortuary.
