Don Hoaldridge, 71, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday morning, July 31, 2016, after a battle with cancer. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22, at Plymouth Park Baptist Church, 1714 N. Story Road, Irving. Visitation will follow immediately after the service. Don was born Feb. 16, 1945, in Fort Worth where he was reared in Riverside and graduated from Carter-Riverside High School in 1963. He served in the U.S. Navy Reserve for several years. He spent some time studying in college and spent most of his working career with the Dallas Independent School District. Don moved to Irving in 1980 where he joined Plymouth Park Baptist Church. He served our Lord for over 30 years at the church, and was active in the deacon fellowship and in the music, teaching, and senior adult ministries. He was loved by all and he loved others by pouring his life into making their lives better. He will be dearly missed. Don was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Marti Hoaldridge Sr. and his mother, Dorothy Lee Atkinson Hoaldridge. He was never married, and had no children, but all who knew him called him "friend." Survivors: He is survived by brother, Vernon Marti "Pat" Hoaldridge and wife, Judy; brother, Jon Milton Hoaldridge and wife, Marie; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
