You served heroically in World War I as a platoon sergeant in Company K of the 317th Infantry, 80th Division during World War I in the Meuse-Argonne Forest Offensive and the St. Mihiel Campaign in France where you lost half of your men. You served as a soldier, lumberman, farmer and deputy sheriff. You married Daisy Jane Dishner on 02 MAY 1931 and fathered two children. You were loved, known and well respected by your entire community. You passed away prematurely on 14 MAY 1951 without ever meeting your grandchildren. You are forever remembered as a hero and you are not forgotten, grandfather...
