Mary Jane Galer's list of persons interred in the New Cemetery area of Linwood shows: Edward WOHLWENDER, widower male, born 03 JUN 1862 in Cynthiana, KY; died aged 88 years in Ft. Myers, FL (cause of death not reported); buried 12 DEC 1962 in Section 1, Lot 83, by undertaker Striffler-Hamby, reference local death certificate #3378 - remarks: see obit attached to card.

His wife (from Mary Jane Galer's list of persons interred in the New Cemetery area of Linwood): Mrs. Willie BLANKENSHIP WOHLWENDER, widowed female, born 09 MAR 1875 in Pike County, Georgia; died aged 78 years at St. Francis Hospital [Columbus, Georgia] of bronchial pneumonia; buried 24 DEC 1953 in Section 1, Lot 83, by undertaker [D. A.] STRIFFLER, reference local death certificate #8855 - Sexton C. W. YOUNG; remarks: Daughter of W. H. H. & Joseph[ine] BLANKENSHIP. [Note: although this record reports that Willie was born in Pike County, Georgia, her parents married in Muscogee County, Georgia, in 1863 and the family appears on both the 1870 and 1880 censuses of Muscogee, it seems rather doubtful that Willie was born in Pike.]
