Coopersville Observer, January 16, 1885-It is our sad duty to relate the death of Mrs. Archer. She died of consumption. Her remains will be interred tomorrow. Mrs. Archer will be greatly missed in Lamont. She has lived here for many years and has always taken a deep interest in the welfare of the citizens. She was a patient, sincere Christian woman, always exerting her influence, which was no small force, on the side of justice, which was well known. Repeatedly through her efforts, saloons and gambling houses have had to close their doors and travel to other pastures. Of her it can be truthfully said that she "did not live for naught."
