Hubert, NC - GySgt Byron Carlisle Myers, USMC (Ret), 62, passed away Thursday August 18, 2016, at his residence. He was born November 25, 1953 in Montgomery County IN son of the late Eston and Bernice Carlisle Myers. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday August 24, 2016 in the chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Swansboro with Rev. Alex Poindexter and Rev. Randy Devinney officiating. Burial will follow at 12:00 PM at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. He is survived by wife, Donita Britton Myers of the home; sons, Michael Neil Myers (Shannon) of Portage, MI, Ian Craig Myers (Kelly) of Hubert, and Eston Lex Myers of Hubert; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is also survived by sisters, Linda Mendenhall of GA, Brenda Summerville of IN, and Carol Holt of IN; brother, Jerry Myers of FL.
