April 25, 1917 ~ August 17, 2016 Mrs. Bonnett had her 99th birthday in April. She had been a resident of Self Health and Rehab since 2011. She and her husband were long time members of Ensley Baptist Church where she kept the nursery for many years. After their move to Hueytown from Ensley they were members of Earnest United Methodist Church. Mrs. Bonnett worked at the Deli at Hills Grocery and later at Winn Dixie until she retired around 1985. She then, with her husband, traveled to many NASCAR races. They were their son, Neil's greatest fans as he raced on the NASCAR circuit until his death in 1994. Mrs. Bonnett always kept a good attitude and was loved by everyone who knew her. Our deepest gratitude to everyone with Self Health and Rehab and Southern Care Hospice for their tender loving care of "Mammaw". She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years; Lawrence Bonnett. Son; Neil Bonnett and 13- brother and sisters. Survivors include, her daughter-in-law; Susan Bonnett Northcutt. Sisters; Lois Pless, Ruby Irvin and Frances Donaldson. Brother; J.D. Mims Jr. Grandchildren; David Neil Bonnett and Kristen Ray. Great grandchildren; Jessica and Justin Bonnett and 5 great great grandchildren. Services will be on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home beginning with a time of visitation at 10:00 A.M. and the funeral at 11:00. Rev. Marion New officiating.
