Bernice M. (Hasenpflug) Boilesen, 92, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2016. Born July 1, 1924 in Brownhelm, Ohio, the daughter of Arthur A. and Marian A. (Brandau) Hasenpflug.
Bernice worked as a secretary for the Agriculture Conservation Service (1943-1947), United Methodist Church (1947-1949) and as curator for the Nebraska Conference of the United Methodist Church (1984-1992).
She was married on May 27, 1949 in Brownhelm, to the Rev. Lester Andrew Boilesen. They served many United Methodist churches in Nebraska during a period of more than 40 years. He preceded her in death on March 23, 1994. Bernice was a member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
Family members include: her son, Eugene (Jane) Boilesen; daughter, Susan Boilesen; seven grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sister, Helen M. Overmyer.
