Kirkville - Joe Lollar 85, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at his home. He enjoyed practical jokes, playing dominoes and gardening. He retired from TVA and he was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Kirkville Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 19, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Waters Funeral Home with Bro. Derick Jones and Bro. Doug Kitchens officiating. Burial will be in the Kirkville Cemetery.

He is survived by a daughter, Kim Houston; son, Mike Lollar both of Kirkville; Grandchildren, Andy Houston (Brittany), Matt Houston (Laurie), Amanda Bass (Jeremy),Joey Lollar (Ashley) and Ashley Berthay (Clint); Great-grandchildren, Gracie Houston, Brianna Lollar, Ben Bass, Maggie Houston, Ella Beth Houston, Clark Bass, Cason Houston and Eli Lollar.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Martha Lollar; parents, Alder and Mary South Lollar; daughter-in-law, Leslie Lollar; brothers and sisters, Jean Lollar, Charlene Clark, Sue Taylor, Eddie Mae Nabers and Wilford Lollar.

Pallbearers will be Rickey Barnes, Tony Barnes, Bobby Wade Whitley, Tyler Adams, Scott Clark, Bill Clark, Mark Nabers, Todd Huff, Steve Clark and Paul Huff.

Honorary pallbearers will be Reid Smith, Jim Maxey, L.R. Burcham, Troy Maxey and Delbert Turner Jr.

Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home Thursday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M.

In Lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Sanctuary Hospice House Kirkville Baptist Church building fund or charity of your choice.
