Nancy Magee's obituary found in the Houston Post, April 20, 1911 issue posted on Newspaper.com listed her as the mother of eleven children, of whom three survived at the time of her death: Dan Dickson, Mrs. Willis Kelly of Houston and Dudley Dickson of Anderson. She died at the home of her son Dudley.

Nancy was the wife of the Honorable Dr. David Catching Dickson, who served as Lt. Gov. of Texas from 1853 to 1854, as well serving the State of Texas in many other public capacities.
