Funeral services for Doris Davis Meadows, 92, of Livingston, formerly of Houston, are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2016 at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Minister Link Davis, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery south of Wills Point. She passed away Monday afternoon, August 15, 2016, in Bedford, Texas. Doris was born April 14, 1924, in Houston, the daughter of Hughlen Joseph Beadle and Alice Marie Borel Beadle. She was raised in Port Arthur and graduated from Port Arthur High School. Doris was married to Link Davis for several years and to this union five children were born. She later married Harvey Wayne Meadows. Doris was a homemaker and loved her family very much. She enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren, sewing, shopping, gardening and cooking. She lived in Houston most of her life and retired to Livingston, where she had lived for thirty years. Doris was of the Catholic faith. Preceded in death by her parents, Hughlen and Alice Beadle; two husbands, Link Davis on July 12, 1971 [error??]and Harvey Wayne Meadows on September 4, 2012; son, Michael Ray Davis in June 1974; brother, Hughlen Joseph Beadle, Jr. and a sister, Gloria Faye Walls. Doris is survived by two sons, Link Davis, Jr., of Livingston and James Rickey Davis, of Livingston; two daughters, Judy Alice Davis Bradley, of Colleyville and Lana Sue Davis Graves & husband, Johnny, of Spanish Fort, Alabama; sister, Shirley Ann Clowdis & husband, Rudy, of Orange; eight grandchildren, James Moore, Joseph Moore & wife, Mandy, Michael Bradley & wife, Kimberly, Denise Krenzke & husband, Brian, Hannah Doyle & husband, Brandon, Angela Price & husband, Keith, Lisa Wright & husband, James and Keith Davis & wife, Emily; seventeen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday morning from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. With heartfelt gratitude we would like to thank the numerous caregivers and friends who has helped Doris and her family through this difficult time.
