Anna Mae Nicely

Anna Mae Nicely, 96, of Delmar, passed away peacefully, joining her Lord and Savior, on Sunday, July 31, 2016, at Delmar Nursing and Rehabilitation [Center, 101 Delaware Ave.] in Delmar, where she had resided for the last nine months.

She was born on March 8, 1920 in Virginia, a daughter of the late Joseph R. and Maggie Lou Mears Chambers.

She was a longtime member of the Church of the Nazarene in Laurel [Sussex Co., DE].

She is survived by a son, John Beauchamp and his wife Karon of Delmar, her faithful caregivers for many years and her sister, Mildred Brumley of Fruitland, Md. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Three special nieces - Joyce Feeney, Ginny Farrelly and Sandy Russell - loved her like a mother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three husbands, Gar Beauchamp, Chuck Cable and Jim Nicely; four sisters, Hazel McGee, Danielle Bisson, Margaret Crockett and Lois Kellam; and four brothers, Milton Chambers, Joseph "Buck" Chambers and two infants.

Many thanks to Delmar Nursing Home and Vitas Hospice for the compassionate care that she received.

Funeral services and burial will be private.

Arrangements are in the care of Cranston Funeral Home [300 N. Shipley St.], Seaford.
