Vernon Dedrick Angrimson, 74, Keno, died Aug. 20, 1995, in Klamath Falls.
Graveside sercvices will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Keno Cemetery in Keno wih Pastor Lon Sassman officiating. Visitation is today and Tuesday from 9 sa.m. to 7 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Davenport's Chapel of the Good Shepherd.Mr. Angrimson was born Aspril 6, 1921, on a farm near Milan, Minn. He was the second of five children.
After farming with his father, he joined the Navy and spent the World War II years aboard the USS Chickadee, a mine sweeper, which, among other things, cleared the waters off the coast of Normandy, France, prior to an invasion.
He returned homed in 1946 and farmed for a few years.
He was married Feb. 14, 1948, to Mary Lou Redepenning.
In early 1950's, they moved to Montevideo, Minn., where Mr. Angrimson drove a truck of Union Oil Co.
They sold their home in 1959, and moved to Riverside, Calif., and he went to work for the U.S. Postal Service.
He retired in 1976 and moved to Keno. He enjoyed his mini-farm and other outdoor activites.
His hobbies included flying his Cessna airplane, dancing and fishing.
Mr. Angrimson was a member of the Lutheran church, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou, Keno; daughers and sons-in-law, Vicki Lynn and Ed Reinert, Upland, Calif., and Denise and Tom Oden, Keno; son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Sharon Angrimson, Keno; son, Bradley Angrimson, Keno; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Vera and Arvid Kvanli, Montevideo, Leona and George Poirier, ALexandria, Minn., and Diane and Delaine Christenson, Minneapolis, Minn.; brother Ellsworth Angrimson, Riverside.
