BETTY A. ARNOLD, 61

Services for Betty A. Arnold, 61 who died May 31, 1991 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church. The Rosary will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Chapel. Burial will be the Holy Cross Cemetery. Rev. Dan Galas will be the celebrant.

Betty A. Arnold was born July 21, 1929 at Omaha, Nebraska to Leo and Evelyn Feer Schmitz. She graduated from Blair High School in 1946 and later attended Midland College in Fremont.

On December 4, 1948, she married Clayton E. Arnold in Papillion, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on August 8, 1971.

They lived in Blair after their marriage until 1957 at which time they moved to Herman, Nebraska. In 1965 they began building a home in the country and moved in after its completion in 1967.

She worked as a feed grain clerk for the ASCS office in Blair for 35 years and also worked at Bar 73 in Herman for over 18 years. She retired in September, 1987. She was an active member of the St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter and two brothers.

She is survived by one son, Dr. Eugene C. Arnold of Vacaville, California; two daughters, Frances Smith of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Mrs. Dennis (Susan) McKenzie of Blair; six grandchildren, Kirk, Daniel, Kris, Dawn, Aaron and William; four sisters, Dorothy Schroeder of Brea, California, Margaret Larsen of Milpitis, California, Joan Burns of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Theresa Walker of Conway, Arkansas and one brother, Jon Keith Arnold of California.
