Clarence Edward Philpot, age 73 of Tampa, Florida, passed away at St. Joseph Hospital on Sunday, August 14, 2016. He was born in Hamilton on June 17, 1943 to Henry and Violet (Current) Philpot. Clarence had attended Freedom Chapel Church.

He is survived by wife, Barbara Philpot of Hamilton; two daughters, Mary Beth Philpot of Hamilton and Misty (Philpot) Hineline of Middletown; three brothers, Walt (Lana) Philpot of Hamilton, John (Judy) Philpot of North Ft. Meyers, Florida, and Tom (Debbie) Philpot of Kenwood; four sisters, Elaine (Terry) Elam, Carol Newton, Cindy Roof, and Irma (Randy) Smith, all of Hamilton; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; five sons, Ricky, Danny, Robbie, Eddie, and Garey Saylor; one sister, Iris Delucia; two brothers-in-law, Donald Newton and James Roof.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 10:00 AM with his brother, Pastor Walt Philpot officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery.
