Leo died at age 80. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Army and a member of VFW and American Legion. He was the husband of Marie Godbey Campbell and the son of the late Bill and Carrie Perkins Campbell.

Leo is survivived by his wife and one son: David Lee Campbell, one daughter: Frances Campbell; two brothers: Gorman Campbell, and Arlis Campbell; one grand-daughter: Cathy Grider; one great-grandson: Caleb Lee Grider and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son: Donald B. Campbell, two brothers: James Robert Campbell and Arnold Cecil Campbell and two sisters: Mildred Phillips and Dorothy Murphy.

Visitation and Funeral services at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Burkhead officiating. Burial with military rites at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with Delbert Siler, Jody Simpson, Ronald Hungate, John Jones, Anthony Godbey, Troy Grider, Glenn Preston and Billy Darnall serving as pallbearers.

Those attending were Curtis and Earl Sherrow, Tom Denny, Joe Harlow, Floyd Shirley, Lucian Landers, Howard H. Howells Sr. and Tom Rappleye. Bugler was Zenah Teater III.
