Eva (Rhodd) Jordan, 96 year old long time Saint Louis, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life Sunday, June 3, 2018 at her home in Saint Louis surrounded by her loving family. Eva was born April 2, 1922 at her family home at Sacred Heart, Oklahoma (near Konawa) to parents John Baptist Rhodd and Adeline (Thorpe) Rhodd.

Eva has been a lifelong member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She even graduated from St. Cecelia’s Catholic Girls School located on the Church grounds. Eva went on to further her education attending two years of business college.

Eva was a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation of Oklahoma.

In 1943 Eva joined the United States Army where she served in the 6714th W.A.C. Communication Platoon. Eva earned the EAME Campaign Ribbon with 1 Bronze Star; Good Conduct Medal; WAAC Service Medal.

Eva was blessed with many things in her life. On September 27, 1948 she married Ray Otis Jordan in Gainesville, Texas.

To this marriage there were four children born, son, Donald “Donnie” Jordan, daughter, Dorothy Jean “Jeannie” Jordan and twin sons Tim Jordan and Jim Jordan. The couple raised their family in Saint Louis where they all attended Saint Louis Public School.

One thing Eva was also very proud of her uncle the Olympian Medal Winner Jim Thorpe her mother’s brother.

She was also proud of her Church and her family.

Survivors include one son, Donald “Donnie” Jordan and his wife Sherri of Saint Louis, Oklahoma; one daughter, Dorothy Jean “Jeannie” Jordan of Maud, Oklahoma; one sister, Johnnie Tallbear of Saint Louis, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Ray Jordan (1978), twin sons Jim Jordan (1979) and Tim Jordan (2009), by one brother Frank Rhodd, by five sisters Edith Nave, Viola Allen, Cleda Curyley, Hazel Williamson and Charolette Alderson.

A wake service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, June6, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church near Konawa, Oklahoma.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Thurdsay, June 7, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church near Konawa, Oklahoma with Father Adrian Vorderlandwehr, O.S.B. officiating the service.

Eva will be laid to rest by her husband Ray Jordan with Military Honors at Collins Cemetery in Saint Louis, Oklahoma.
