William "Bill" Roland Dart, 95, of Charleston died August 18, 2015. He was born July 21, 1920 in Fort Lupton, Colorado the son of William Howard and Jessie May (Tullos) Dart. He proudly served in the United States Army Air Corps and was a World War II War veteran. Awards and decorations received by SSGT Dart include the Purple Heart, Air Service Medal with Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster, American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Medal with Bronze Service Star, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, and World War II Victory Medal. Bill was a member of the Lewisville, Texas VFW. He worked for Bob Rogers Paint and Body Shop. He also owned and operated his own shop at home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Jessie Dart; his wife of sixty-six years, Billie Dart; four brothers, Howard, Clifford, Glen and Guy Dart; three sisters, Helen Wooldridge, Joyce and Nancy Jones.
Survivors are two daughters, Theresa Hurt and husband, Gary of Booneville, and Vicki Thomas and husband, Otha Lee of Flower Mound, Texas; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Colleen of Missouri; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
Graveside service at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Booneville Funeral Service.
